History

Hipertex S.A. was founded in 1956 as a vertically integrated industry, quickly becoming the largest producer and exporter of sweaters in Uruguay. With the aim of bringing fashion and quality to the greatest number of people, BURMA brand was designed, becoming recognized not only in the local market, but also in Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay markets.
